Brightly is seeking a motivated, hands-on Front-End Developer to join the Brightly technology team. Developers are responsible for building, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting clean, web standards compliant code.

What you’ll do
- Develop web applications with a focus on front-end
- Use Figma files as design reference
- Directly collaborate with designers
- Work with a team that loves learning and teaching
What we’d like to see
- 5+ years experience in front-end web development
- Comfortable working in a distributed team environment
- Expert knowledge of front-end architecture, React, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web standards
- Passion for pixel-perfect front-end is a must
- Experience translating comps and wireframes into semantically correct HTML
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
- Strong time management and problem solving capabilities
- Proven debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Loves logic and problem solving
- Possesses working knowledge of developing for accessibility
- Knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles and translating into fluid and responsive templates
- Strong working knowledge of developing cross platform/browser compatibility (IE/Edge, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) for dynamic web applications
- Ability to implement SEO best practices
- Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 and WAI-ARIA
- Experience with using source/version control software to collaborate with fellow team members
Nice to have
- AWS, Azure, or Firebase experience
- Experience with project management tools like GitLab, Jira, and Azure DevOps
- Database experience with NoSQL and SQL
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
